Rich in history: Dresden's Old Town

„Dresden - as beautiful as a symphony and with a biography as exciting as the life of an adventurer!” Dresden is traditional, but ultra modern at the same time. It is politically serious, but also pleasure-seeking. Dresden is not only the capital city of the Free State of Saxony, but also a cultural metropolis, place of the beaux-arts and home of numerous world-famous sights as well.

This church got completely destroyed during the bombing of Dresden in February 1945. But it got rebuilt as a historical landmark due to an unprecedented international involvement. Nowadays it is touchingly to see how its dome coins the cityscape again.
